We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK provider of fire protection and electronic security solutions. With a diverse client base spanning residential, SME, and large national organisations, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth — and this role will be central to that journey.
The Opportunity
As Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of generating and converting new sales opportunities across the UK. You’ll play a key role in expanding the company’s fire and security footprint, developing long-term customer relationships, and driving profitable growth.
This is a high-impact role working closely with senior leadership, operations, marketing, and wider group stakeholders to grow both installation and recurring service revenue streams.
What You’ll Be Doing

Proactively generating new business opportunities across Fire & Security

Building and managing a strong, evidence-based sales pipeline

Identifying cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts

Securing a balanced portfolio of installation projects and service contracts

Targeting tenders, portals, referrals, and direct sales opportunities

Attending industry networking events and representing the business

Supporting the development of a regional engineering delivery network

Monitoring account profitability and protecting margins

Maintaining accurate pipeline reporting and CRM data

Providing market insight on competitors and sector trends
What We’re Looking For

Proven track record selling Fire & Security solutions to commercial clients

Strong hunter mentality with the ability to close and grow accounts

Technical understanding of fire and electronic security systems

Commercially astute with solid financial awareness

Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills

Self-motivated, adaptable, and highly organised

Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline activity
