Business Development Manager 

Fire & Security | East & West Midlands + The North Of England  | Competitive Package - Basic salary up to £60,000+ Bonus + Benefits including extended holidays, car allowance, pension, health & wellbeing package and many other benefits.

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK provider of fire protection and electronic security solutions. With a diverse client base spanning residential, SME, and large national organisations, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth — and this role will be central to that journey.

The Opportunity

As Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of generating and converting new sales opportunities across the UK. You’ll play a key role in expanding the company’s fire and security footprint, developing long-term customer relationships, and driving profitable growth.

This is a high-impact role working closely with senior leadership, operations, marketing, and wider group stakeholders to grow both installation and recurring service revenue streams.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively generating new business opportunities across Fire & Security

  • Building and managing a strong, evidence-based sales pipeline

  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts

  • Securing a balanced portfolio of installation projects and service contracts

  • Targeting tenders, portals, referrals, and direct sales opportunities

  • Attending industry networking events and representing the business

  • Supporting the development of a regional engineering delivery network

  • Monitoring account profitability and protecting margins

  • Maintaining accurate pipeline reporting and CRM data

  • Providing market insight on competitors and sector trends


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record selling Fire & Security solutions to commercial clients

  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to close and grow accounts

  • Technical understanding of fire and electronic security systems

  • Commercially astute with solid financial awareness

  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and highly organised

  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline activity
