Are you an experienced Finance Controller looking for a progressive, part-time role? This role will be 3 days a week based in Bolton BL2. The company provides a first-class maintenance, repair, and installation service to a wide variety of sectors across the UK for Automatic Gates, Barriers, Roller Shutters, Automatic Doors, Turnstiles, Speed Lanes, Bollards, Blockers, Perimeter Fencing and associated Access Control Systems.
This role will work closely with the Board to provide financial reporting, robust processes, payroll, payment authorisations and offer a strong hands-on approach. £50,000- £55,000 (Full TIme Equivalent) or Day Rate to reflect experience.
The Finance Controller role will include :
Preparation of monthly and weekly MI and management accounts in accordance with deadlines. Setting, managing, and monitoring compliance and streamlining processes (including making best use of systems and reducing manual processes).
Development of monthly consolidated management accounts suite including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
Development and progression of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting and treasury processes.
· Ensure up to date with UK GAAP to lead the annual statutory accounts process, developing monthly working paper files and reconciliations to ensure readiness for implementation of an external audit process.
Support with budgets and forecasts as required, including project cashflow forecasts.
Support and participate in the monthly BGB Board meetings to represent the financial performance of the business.
Input and support in the annual budget process.
Preparation of year end statutory accounts and simple corporation tax computations
Liaison and co-ordination with Tax Advisers or external partners on more complex matters.
Manage monthly, quarterly VAT/PAYE/CIS and other similar tax return routines.
Offer support and input into purchase/debtors/creditors ledger.
Complete payroll for the business.

You will be a qualified Accountant with management experience, hands-on accounting skills and a highly commercial and flexible outlook that will allow you to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
You will be a well-rounded individual, capable of working with people at all levels within an organisation and will be able to build strong relationships with external parties.
Experience of working with B2C sectors where turnover is created both from installs, service and remedials.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
Exceptional organisational skills.
You will be a forward-thinking individual with strong planning capability.
Ability to multitask and manage parallel workstreams.
Strong Excel skills – pivot tables/lookups etc.
Financial modelling experience.
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Sage accounting software.
