About the Role
Working alongside the Engineering Manager and a team of skilled electrical and mechanical engineers, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality technical drawings and supporting projects from concept through to manufacture. This is a customer-facing role, so strong communication and confidence in technical discussions are essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Producing detailed drawings for client approval and manufacture
• Creating and managing Bills of Materials
• Collaborating with design, sales, and production teams
• Supporting the shop floor and service teams with technical expertise
• Attending client meetings and site visits
• Resolving design and production challenges
• Managing projects and updating technical documentation
What We’re Looking For
• ONC, BTEC (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & Autodesk Inventor (iLogic knowledge a bonus)
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
• Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques
• Full UK driving licence
